1. Definitions
- 1.1 “Company” refers to JCZ Compliance Ltd.
1.2 “Client” refers to the individual, business, or entity requesting electrical equipment testing services.
1.3 “Services” refers to the inspection, testing, and certification of electrical equipment.
1.4 “Certificate” refers to the document issued upon successful completion of testing, confirming compliance at the time of inspection.
2. Scope of Services
- 2.1 JCZ Compliance Ltd. provides electrical equipment testing in accordance with applicable UK regulations and industry standards.
2.2 The scope of testing includes visual inspections and electrical testing of portable appliances and fixed electrical equipment, as agreed upon with the Client.
2.3 Testing is carried out on the Client’s premises or as otherwise agreed.
3. Client Responsibilities
- 3.1 The Client must ensure that all electrical equipment to be tested is accessible and ready for inspection.
3.2 The Client is responsible for notifying JCZ Compliance Ltd. of any known faults or hazards before testing begins.
3.3 The Client agrees to provide a safe working environment for the Company's personnel.
4. Testing and Certification
- 4.1 All testing is conducted in accordance with industry standards, including the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and the IET Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.
4.2 A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of testing, detailing the results and compliance status of tested equipment.
4.3 The certificate is valid as of the date of testing and does not guarantee future compliance. The Client is responsible for regular retesting as recommended.
5. Liability and Limitations
- 5.1 JCZ Compliance Ltd. will exercise reasonable skill and care in providing services but shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss resulting from testing or recommendations made.
5.2 The Company is not responsible for any failure of electrical equipment after the testing date.
5.3 Testing does not include repairs; any faulty equipment will be reported to the Client for appropriate action.
6. Fees and Payment
- 6.1 Fees for services shall be as agreed upon in the quotation provided to the Client.
6.2 Full payment is required within 7 days of invoice issuance unless otherwise agreed.
6.3 Late payments may be subject to additional charges or suspension of services.
7. Cancellation and Rescheduling
- 7.1 Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled testing appointment.
7.2 JCZ Compliance Ltd. reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee for short-notice cancellations.
7.3 Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be agreed upon in advance.
8. Confidentiality and Data Protection
- 8.1 JCZ Compliance Ltd. will handle Client information in accordance with UK GDPR and Data Protection laws.
8.2 Testing results and certificates will only be shared with the Client unless disclosure is required by law.
9. Dispute Resolution
- 9.1 Any disputes regarding testing or certification must be raised within 3 days of service completion.
9.2 The Company will seek to resolve disputes amicably, but if no resolution is reached, the matter may be referred to an independent arbitrator.
10. Governing Law
- 10.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
